Dear MSVMA Members,
As the holiday season arrives and 205 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude and warmest wishes to each of you. This time of year invites reflection, celebration, and connection, and I am deeply thankful for the dedication and passion you bring to our shared mission.
Throughout this year, we have witnessed the extraordinary power of music to inspire, uplift, and unite; music has a unique ability to transcend barriers, giving voice to emotions and stories that words alone cannot express. Education, in turn, provides the foundation for growth, opportunity, and lasting change. Together, they form a powerful force—one that opens doors, nurtures creativity, and strengthens communities.
Because of your support, commitment, and belief in this work, we have been able to expand opportunities, reach new students, and create meaningful experiences that will resonate far beyond the classroom or the stage. Your involvement—whether through participation, advocacy, volunteering, or generosity—makes a real and lasting difference.
As we look ahead to the coming year (and all the programming that comes along with it), we do so with optimism and renewed purpose. We remain inspired by what is possible when people come together around a shared vision: a future where vocal music education in our state continues to empower students, members, and our communities.
On behalf of our board, staff, and those we serve, thank you for being an essential part of our organization. May this holiday season bring you joy, peace, and time for reflection, and may the new year be filled with harmony and hope.
See you soon at our District festivals and, of course, at MMC!
With warm regards and best wishes,
Brian
