D4 High School/Junior High/Middle School Solo and Ensemble Festival

• Wednesday, March 17 - Friday, March 19, 2027,  8 AM - 4 PM
• Locations and Hosts: Wednesday-Thursday March 17-18th at Walled Lake Northern HS (Ashley Ward, Host) and Friday March 19th at Waterford Kettering HS (Courtney Laird, Host)
• $140 per choir
• Registration opens: October 1, 2026

***Choral Festival Choirs must consist of at least 12 rostered singers***

Late registration will be available for seven days past the deadline (12/11/26) for a late fee of $50/event and late registrations must be paid by credit card. Fees are non-refundable and returned checks are subject to a $25 fee. You will not be scheduled without payment or PO.

District Solo & Ensemble Festival and Choral Festival medals will be available for purchase for $5 at the Festival for students who receive final determinations of Excellent (I) or Good (II).

Event Transfer Date: November 15 (for District and State events) - there are no exceptions to this deadline
**State Musical Theatre S&E Transfer Date is September 15 

NEW POLICY for 26-27 School Year: Members of D4 are now required to attend the EAST Site for State Musical Theatre S&E (on November 14, 2026 at Oxford HS) and the EAST Site for State Choral Festival (on April 27-29, 2027 at Marysville HS).

If you want to apply to transfer to another site, Please see this document for full policy & procedural requirements for state events:  The deadline for all Musical Theatre S&E  Event Transfer Requests is September 15 and all other events (District or State) is November 15 - no exceptions. Requests will be considered according to capacity and criteria above. Requests that exceed capacity or do not meet criteria may not be approved.
